The National Human Rights Commission of Korea published the press release on the Human Rights Impact Assessment tool for AI. The commission developed the tool and recommended the Minister of Science and ICT to use the tool to evaluate and mitigate the risk of AI systems developed and deployed in the public institutions and private sector.
HRIA tool for AI has been developed from the research project commissioned by the NHRCK in 2022. Activists of Jinbonet also participated in the research.
We hope this tool would be helpful for the evaluation of the risk of AI and further development of similar tools in other countries.
